Ludoviko is the antagonist in my urban fantasy novel STIGMA, and the protagonist in the sequel, named after him. I love the idea of a series of books that carry into one another with the previous antagonist, but each story is unique while connecting to the last. Too often, antagonists are defeated or have one universal trait: They’re evil and tortured and beyond redemption.
My antagonists are redeemable. Of course, unfortunate things happen that hurt them and turn them dark, but somewhere deep inside, there is a little good in everyone, isn’t there?
